I have a "Whirly-Jig" rotisserie that I bought in 2003. I currently have a buddies '64 Monza convert up in the air. We welded up brackets that would bolt to the bumper mounts and attach to the rotisserie. We always lift with the engine & transaxle out. Less weight. I have found that when lifting a ragtop, you need a body stiffener or it will sag in the middle. This 64 is cancer free and when on the ground, shows no body flex with the doors open and stepping in and out of the car, but when suspended from the bumper brackets and not the suspension, when you open the doors, you can see some flex. Not a lot, but noticeable. My rotisserie has an optional body stiffener for converts. It is a pair of uprights that basically extend the uprights of the rotisserie and then you tie the uprights together across the length of the car with a piece of tubing. Once the tubing is in place and tightened down, the body flex is gone.
I don't have any pictures right now. Maybe I can get over to the garage over the next few days if interested.
