Thanks very much.  The car is presently in SC and I'm in NJ but in my mind's eye, the comments I recived stating the photo cell was on the dash just didn't seem correct.
Thanks to everyone who responded.  Particullarly helpful will be the info about the relay.

I have a 94 Impala SS on which the auto headlight system isn't working.  Checked all the fuzes but they are all good.  Anybody have any experience with this system?  Anybody know where the sensor is located?  It was and maybe still is on al whole bunch of GM cars.
Corvair content--used this car to pull the Corvair track car on an open trailer until I got a closed trailer and truck.
