Please never mind my previous post. I went back out the garage studied the book some more, analyzed the tv lever and figured it all out (I hope).
Haven't started it on over three weeks, and whammo, she fires on the dime and purrs nicely. Getting used to the ol' lifter clatter, that went away after a nice warm up.

So, guess what, (I'm so proud of myself) I did it.
I fixed my transmission (for the most part). It now shifts very nicely into 2nd gear.

But, you realize there is a catch (always is). If I lay into it from zero, I'll say, moderate to moderately heavy, on the gas pedal, the engine spins and I go nowhere pretty fast. Yuck yuck yuck. Hmmm, but if I am nice and easy, its like perfect, reverse, neutral, drive and low are all operating properly. Its just this "giving it a little" doesn't seem right. I have a new vacuum modulator, lines are clean, fixed the e-clip, new o-rings (the vendor's mini kit), gaskets, and adjusted the throttle valve correctly (I think), fluid is full.
Next to doing a vaccuum test to determine if I have a stuck or plugged front or rear pump, I not sure what else I can do with this powerglide, next to relacing it. What are systems of a bad front or rear pump?
Too bad it took me all summer to get her roadworthy, bought it before memorial day, and using it labor day weekend. Maybe good for a fall color drive or something.
Now the decision, to I sell this convertible and work on my coupe (in dire straits) or vice versa? Wish I could keep both, but alas, no room in the garage this winter.
