<VV> BATTERY CHARGERS / FLAMES no vair but...

on July fifth i had a 6 amp charger fail in my 12kw generator 18 inches  from 
the house. it burned the generator to a total toast , almost got to the  
house , but quick acting neighbors and fire depts saved me. failed circuit  
breaker , failed gfi , blew the battery to flames. so watch them closely.  neighbors 
who saw it happen say the flames were very large and intense.
i feel lucky , even though the famous manufacturer went belly up in  march.  
this unit was almost 1 year old to the day.
i am now very careful where i set chargers when they are unattended , among  
other safety precautions.
