Don't forget the "mag-style" cover. There were two styles that Chevy
produced. The one that most closely mimics the original Corvair mag cap is
what I call the "raised ring" style. This is the most noticable difference
in the two styles. The ring around the bowtie center emblem is raised,
whereas the other style is flush with the center emblem. There are a host
of other, sometimes subtle, differences in the two, but that key feature is
what I find easiest to spot the quickest.
BTW, I happen to have two sets of the flat ring style cap, if anyone is
interested in them. Name your price, though I have $150/set in them.
They're not show, just good 20-foot driver quality. I can deliver to the
DACC homecoming in August. I just want to get them out of here.
