Originally, a tab folded over the end.  You might need to invent something 
if that is gone (as many are).  A short sheet metal screw with the head of 
the screw overlapping the pivot pin just might do it.

The screw that'll hold protrudes too far.  Like I said....I, and whoever did
the other side of my 67 fabbed a clip out of sheet-metal and secured it in
the tab cut-out (I tacked it with the Mig)
