Steve,
This has been done!!. There is a convertible top installer here in San Jose
Ca. that will install a top with a folding Mustang rear glass in a late top.
The Ferd is of IIRC, 65-66 vintage. I've been taking the process one step
farther. The Mustang glass is fairly small and I believe could be bigger.
The question is, who fabricates the windows and would they make a custom
item?

Subject: <VV> LM Convertible glass rear window conversion?
Has anyone tried to install a glass back-light (rear window) in a Corvair
convertible top?
I've had 2 Saab's and a VW convertible, all with heated glass instead of
plastic. It seems like it would be doable in a Corvair, though it might
require unzipping the window before dropping the top.
Anyone?
