<VV> Brakes Question

A question for the old salts:
   
  I discovered last week, as I was inspecting the brakes, that my front left wheel, unlike the 3 others, is NOT self-adjusting.  Missing is the adjusting lever, adjusting lever spring, self-adjusting brake link wire; all of the other parts I have already.  So, I ordered these 3 parts from Clarks; they arrived Thursday and I got up early this morning to add these items to the wheel.  I discovered that there is a small metal part that hooks into a d-shaped hole at the top of the adjusting lever to which the brake link wire and self-adjusting lever spring both attach.  This little part did not come with the adjusting lever and I have been unable to locate this part in any catalog.  
   
  Can any one give this newbie some help?  Thanks in advance.
