Legally? No, there's no need to match
Practically? No, there's no reason - it's just a stamping on an otherwise
identical casting.
Economically? No, Most Corvair buyers haven't been infected with that
particular disease.

If it were a valuable Corvette and you bought into the "need" for matching
numbers, it might be an issue. Most collectors, except for the high-dollar
stuff where faked-up cars are an issue, view numbers as an amusement rather
than an issue.
