The mirrors on a '65 have a slightly different base than the '66-'69 mirrors.
The later mirrors have a rectangular base which is the same as the rectangular mirror's base. 
I believe the bases for both the later Corvair mirror and the rectangular head mirror use the same holes as you have.
The rectangular head mirrors were used on '69 Camaros and are being reproduced. 
I've seen them as low as $29.99 but they generally sell for about $39.00.
