<VV> Intermitten Turn Signal

I have a '65 monza 140 4 spd, which I got in June.  The turning signals
worked when I got it.  Now, they are intermitten.  Sometimes they don't work
at all....other times when they work, they blink rapidly.  I have been told
that there is a '69 steering column and it might be the signal switch in the
column.  Fairly new to vairs and this '65 is my first.  I appreciate all the
help!  Thanks.
