I'm with your observation Bill. On most late models, the ones with the
long fresh air hose, I blocked the shroud hole instead of selling the
customer a long hose. On earlies, it was just as cheap to replace that
4" of hose! Oh yes, lates use the expensive oval hose.
Maybe that's why earlies are better! :-)
