This is a misunderstanding of oil properties. 10W-30 and 5W-30 are 
exactly the same viscosity when hot... and any engine can always use a 
lighter viscosity when cold.

I use Castrol Synthetic 5W-50 in my Vairs... with a younger engine I 
might use a 40 weight....
