<VV> Power top Circuit

The power top on my "new" Corsa doesn't work(Never did). 
I've bench tested the motor/gearbox and it runs in both directions. 
I have power to the plug at the motor. 
I chucked the drive cables in my drill and they both work, for a couple of  
inches up/down anyway. 
The switch can make the relay click both directions, (not very reliably  
though). 
What else should I look at?
