I saw the show and thought the same thing.
A beautiful very restoreable old car was trashed.
When you look at what they are actually using from the original car, it's
crazy to destroy this antique.

Priced a Boyd Codington Custom Hot-Rod lately versus a pretty ordinary Model
T?  The market kinda disagrees with your definition of "destroy"!

People already engaged in a somewhat "quirky" hobby have to be careful
tossing rocks at folks with a different, but equally "quirky" hobby.
