The TH-350 would likely work the same way the Powerglide works,
obviously no rotation issues if it's fed the same way the 'Vair
Powerglide is fed, via a hollow mainshaft etc.

I would wager that the TH-350 could be made to work if modified in a
similar manner as the BW T5 gearbox that's been fitted to Corvairs.

Just a quick thought. The problem on conversion of another automatic
transmission into the Vair is the torque converter. The Corvair PG - separated the
torque converter from the trans with the differential in between. That would
be hard to adapt in another trans (Not that the factory couldn't do it, just
not you or I.) Maybe the trick set-up would be a manual clutch controlled
three-speed. With an homage to the drag-racing "Clutchflites" - How about a
"ClutchTurbo350" with a three-speed automatic in place of the PG - Add paddle
-shifting on the steering wheel for up/down and you have a nice combo. - Seth
