<VV> '61 rear wheel cylinder removal

Trying to replace the rear wheel cylinders on my '61
4-door.  I can see where they must attach through the
backing plate, but can't for the life of me figure out
how to access the bolts securing them.  What am I
missing?  Does the backing plate itself have to be
removed?
