<VV> Directional Signal Assembly

Sounds to me like a poor ground or a poor connection at the LR. The turn
signal and the brake light use the same filament in the bulb. The ground is
strong enough to pass current for the tail lights, but not strong enough to
pass current for the more demanding (brighter) brake/turn lights.
Try some sand paper in the socket (sides and bottom contacts) and where the
light housing contacts the car body.

Subject: <VV> Directional Signal Assembly
I have metered out the wiring on my 1966 Corsa brake and turn signal
circuits and have come to the conclusion the switch assembly is at fault. I
have no brake light or directional indicator on the left side (rear). The
front left signal does flash and the right side works both front and rear if
you hold your mouth just right. Before I do anything drastic is there
anything else to check? I have continuity all the way from the connector on
the steering column to the rear lights. Is it possible to clean or bend the
contacts on the switch or should I just go ahead and start searching for a
replacement?
