Bob-Very carefully so's not to break it off. I removed one recently after soaking it with penetrating oil for a good long time. It came out very well, however the engine was not subjected to weather or rust, so may have made a difference, but also broke one off a number of years ago when not taking precautions. It's very valuable so be careful. Ken

Howdy Folks,
How do you test a used thermister and what is the BEST way to remove one form a head. This should stir things up.
Thanks to all that replied to the question about the threads on a thermister.
Thanks,
Bob
