Paul - At SEMA this year, I established contact with a company that does  
replacement taillights for many cars with LEDs replacing the bulb. I sent him  
both taillights and back-up lights for 1965 and 66-69. He is working the  
application. When he gets back to me, I will ask him about the white LEDs as a  
replacement for the License plate light. At his suggestion, he is pursuing both  a 
complete replacement lens and a kit which would install between the existing  
lens (or a new replacement lens from a vendor) and the housing. It would  
plug into the same 1157 socket in the stock housing, so except for the light  
volume, it will appear stock. As soon as I get more info, I will post it to the
