<VV> checking temp gauge

   I'm  putting  a  used temp gauge in my Corsa and wonder if there is an
   easy  way  to see if it works before I install it.  I don't especially
   care  to  put  it  in  then have to take the dash out again because it
   doesn't work .   Thanks in advance for the help.   Ken
