Just came back from a powerglide rebuild tech session, and after
putting the thing back together, following the 65 shop manual, I have
a check valve left over. If my memory serves me correctly (the shop
manual doesn't show it anywhere), I beileve it is supposed to be
installed in the hole next to the low servo piston, under the valve
body. I wish I had the camera with me so that I could post a picture,
but unfortunately, I didn't. It is a stamped steel cylinder, with an
encapsulated steel bearing functioning as a check valve. It fits the
bore of the hole next to the low servo piston perfectly. Not sure what
the original application for this PG was, but I know it wasn't for an
FC.
Any help would be appreciated.
