Absolutely! The coupe was cheaper, therefore sold more!
Corvair was an entry level car. Only those that needed the 4 doors would
spend the money, therefore they became known as family cars. Single
people didn't need to spend the extra money for two extra doors. So
coupes became synonymous with single people and fun loving lifestyles.
Lots of people let the rest of the world dictate how they live their
lives. I do things MY WAY and ignore all those who think 4 doors are
family only vehicles. But I also do not tell coupe owners their cars
suck! To each their own.
Now if I could only find a 4 door convertible.... I have seen the pictures.
