Besides the Ford-based Canadian Meteor, there was also
a Mercury-based Monarch that was sold at Ford dealers.
 The Meteor was sold in Mercury stores, giving each
dealer franchise more variety in the cars available.

As most of you guys know, Canadian Pontiacs were
Chevys clothed in Pontiac body panels, US Dodge models
were badges as Chryslers, and Acadians were Chevys
with some Pontiac minor styling touches such as
grilles, taillight lenses, and dashboards...Bill H.
