In 1960 only there was a Canadian version of the Falcon called the
Frontenac, basically a different grille and trim option. Over the years
there were also plenty of Ford Meteors (not Mercury) that were variations
of the US Fords, not to mention the Mercury series of Trucks, including a
Mercury variant of the Ford econoline pickup. With this and the GM lines,
this was done basically for Canadian Content rules.

And don't forget Chrysler and their Fargo Pickups..........
Why wasn't there a re-badged Corvair........

Subject: <VV> CDN cars: NO CORVAIR
I've been keeping a non-Corvair friend informed of our CDN car thread. He
has a '50s CDN Ford and is way into CDN cars, especially FoMoCo products.
He
shared the following with me which, obviously, does not pertain to Corvairs:
<All Canadian cars came with everything, including the owner's manual - in
French as well as English. They also came with, as a dealer installed
option,
in-block heaters for the cold weather, just the same as Alaskan US cars.>
