Do I assume it is a 1969 from your e-mail address?
The late model grille bar, remove the grille bar from the car. IIRC,
there is a clip on the backside of the lock area that holds the lock in
place. Kind of like the clip that holds a door lock on a door.
FWIW, some locksmiths can recode the replacement lock to use the same
key as you have.
