<VV> Porsche 914 Transaxle Reversibility

I know nothing of Porsches.

But, I know someone that has a Porsche 914 transaxle.  Does anyone know how 
well this would work in a Corvair mid-engine application with it's CCW 
rotation?  Can the 914 be switched like the VW can?

Looks like Kennedy still supplies adapters, for a price.  Anybody else out 
there got a Corvair to Porsche adapter on the shelf for sale?
