<VV> Fuel Leak

People, I asked about a strong fuel smell in the car
when first starting up.  I checked the fuel pump and
found a small amount of gas around the fittings.  You
guys mentioned that there may have been a leak around
the top part of the pump.

Well you were correct.  The topmost screw on the pump
couldn't be tightened, when it reached the bottom of
its travel it just kept turning and turning.  Thinking
the screw had stripped threads, I took a screw from a
new pump and the same thing happened, so I guess the
threads on the pump body are worn.  Both screws looked
to be in good condition.

I was able to take another slightly larger screw and
that worked nicely, at least a temporary repair.  The
other screws were nice and tight.
