Smitty,
I've owned many lates and, yes, even an early and several FC's, and
never had any problem with any of them, beyond the car's natural
tendency for sensitivity to crosswinds due to Corvairs being a light car
with a light front end. But even this is not a problem, as I always put
the spare in the trunk, like God intended. (G) Of course, a/c cars HAVE
to have the spare there, anyway. But I did it even if it was non-a/c.
Now the FC's DO have a tendency for some strange behaviour. Found that
out the first time I tossed one into a sweeping "S" curve. Had to saw
away on the steering wheel thru the entire curve. LOL

Frightening to be passed by a semi or big RV. I would imagine a very deep dam like NASCAR coming to fractions of an inch from the pavement would be a big help. Might even make one controllable by an average person.

It was neat to go strolling on the beach while a large portion of the country is still shivering with winter. Wagon ran great at 70-75 while getting over 20 mpg. Stable as a rock at any speed.
