All
Unfortunately I won't be at Detroit this year, though I was looking forward to it.
The Marine Corps League State convention, and a couple of days I need to spend at Summer Camp with a Scout Unit will eat up my 2nd week of vacation, 1st week of course will be spent in Buffalo.

Since I won't be there, let me say---
And so it begins......

Dave calls the reservations manager (or someone who said they were), gets an explanation, and JR does everything but call him a liar.

I don't know how that could be, as others over the last few weeks have called and said that their experience was IDENTICAL to the one Dave described today.

I wonder what it would have been like if Iowa had won the bid..... I was recently told by a director that Detroit was NOT a unanimous vote of approval by our dedicated BoD.( As an aside, I don't see any of the current members as the soul sucking wankers that Unca Lonald may feel I believe them to be.)

Regardless, don't blame a hotel in Detroit for what they're doing. If you thought Buffalo was a ghetto, hang on to thy hat---and your wallet.

I have a cousin who recently retired as Sr. Regional Planner for LA County in LA LA land, So Wanda and I are planning to be at the Nats ---NEXT YEAR. No Host hotel problems for me--I'll be in Canoga Park. Plane fare will probably kill me anyway.
