     Moral of the story?  Never leave your Corvair undefended at a car 
show!!!

One of my favorite things to do at a show is to walk away some distance then 
when a crowd has gathered at the car (usually my V8 Vair) I walk up like a 
spectator and listen to the comments. Depending on how I'm feeling I will 
set them up and ambush them! Just my perverse sense of fun!
Back in my younger more zealous days I would jump on anyone making ignorant 
or stupid remarks about Corvairs and straighten them out. Usually a waste of 
breath. Now days if they seem truly interested I will take the time to 
educate them.
