<VV> Correct Winshield Needed (as opposed to incorrect one)

The 64 Greenbrier Deluxe has been undergoing restoration since December.  The 
shop doing the work broke the nearly new, correct fitting windshield  (no 
longer available from original source). The good news: the  shop supplied a new 
replacement; the bad news: the replacement appears to  be a touch too small... 
a new one-piece Clark's gasket fit so loosely  it flopped around on the new 
glass; to make the gasket work, the installer  had to cut and shorten the 
gasket. Now it is as if the glass does not fill  the opening. The outer edge of the 
gasket, in the corners, tends to fall  into the opening channel, and the 
glass/gasket assembly is bulged outward  (the glass is not pushing the gasket 
laterally into the  channel). The assembly also leaks like a sieve. Anyone out 
there  heard of replacement glass fitting this poorly (I don't yet know the 
manufacture  of the glass, but will before buying another windshield)? Also, is 
there a  source for a correct FC windshield? Help with this issue will be much  
appreciated.
