WRONG! If anything, the '65-6 hinges are the cheezy ones. Because of
federal safety regulations, they redesigned the '67-9 hinges to be
stronger and more durable. Over the past 40+ years, I've seen more
catch-latchs (or whatever the hell it's called), that thingy that holds
the door open, broken on '65-6 hinges than on '67-9 hinges. And I've had
twice as many '67-9's as '65-6 cars (about 3 dozen in all). So the REAL
answer is that the better hinge is definately the '67-9 hinges. If you
have a choice, use them instead of the weaker '65-6 hinges. In the long
run, you'll be glad you did.
