I received a response to an ad I posted promising to buy the item I had advertised if I would send a check to return the "excess shipping" charges. Only problem was, the ad I ran was not an item for sale -- it was an ad to publicize an upcoming Corvair meet!  I hope there's an especially warm spot in Hell set aside for these scumbags.
