As far as overcooling condensation goes, I don't see that being a problem  if 
a car is running at 300 degrees.  Regular oil changes will reveal water  
issues.  The information about the sender location and data collection  sheds some 
very interesting light on the whole issue.  I would further  submit that 
running a lower top temperature would serve to prevent the valve  seat dropping 
issue.  I understand the lower temp means a lower low point  but a lower high 
temp means less head expansion.  I think that cold weather  ops should use 
baffles but summer time should be ok as far as my non-empirical  guess would go.
