You can use an 8ohm speaker on a radio wanting a 4ohm one, but....
Mismatching the output impedance of the radio and the input impedance of the
speaker will reduce the power transfer. that is, the 8ohm speaker will get
3db less power (that's 1/2) than would a 4ohm speaker. The result may
require a higher volume setting on the radio, which might push it into
distortion.
