<VV> Tell me about line boring

Anyone ever actually line bored a Corvair block? How far can you go 
before having trouble with valvetrain geometry (stock pushrods) or with 
bolting on bellhousing/rear housing? Issues to be aware of?

I have a bunch of blocks here with poor (enlarged) main bearing bores 
and marginal cam bores. Getting tired of trying more blocks and finding 
they're just as bad as the ones I've got.

re USAF Museum - visited there about 1994. Well worth the very long 
drive, will do it again, and will plan on at least three days there.
