While it is true that Bobby Allison drove a Corvair in the 24 Hours of
Daytona, the car he drove was #5 with Spurgeon May, and it DNF'd. I also do
not believe it was a Stinger. The photo on the link was car # 75 that was
driven by Art Riley & Russ McGrotty, entered by McMillan Ring Free Oil
Company and finished 27th overall. The race was also not sponsored by Rolex
until much, much later. Charlie

NASCAR.com has an article up about NASCAR drivers that have
participated in the Rolex 24. It mentions that Bobby Allison drove a
Corvair in the 1966 race, and it shows a picture of him driving a
Yenko Stinger.
