Dredging a bit but didn't the Vega GT use a progressive 2 BBL IDA 
lookalike. Keep in mind that the limiting factor is going to be diameter of 
the hole in the manifold. It sounded like you are talking about a two carb 
manifold, it that true ?

What kind of Rochester do you have now ? Years ago I had a quadrajet on a 
four carb engine that worked extremely well for autocrossing. Doubt that 
the secondaries (air flow controlled) ever opened very far. If a 2GC or 
M2MC I would be interested in it.
