Would you accept "most popular" in place of "best"? Or how about "most
marketable"? At 30-50 thous copies a year, no matter how good the Corvette
is, she ain't gonna carry the freight! Corvettes can't compete in the
market place with Mustangs. Different customers. Price. Insurance costs. As
a prior Corvette owner, and I would love to have a new one, the 'Vettes of
the '70s and early '80s suffered from a lot of the ills of the rest of the
industry-post gas crisis, increased mileage demands/requirements, and
greatly stricter EPA requirements... Didn't help GM.

Mustangs are inexpensive-go price one, and they look "just like" they are
remembered.... Can you see, a whole generation of young folks buying into
Fords?

Re "If GM and Chrysler would ever get their heads out and try and catch up
to
the Mustang...... (w/ Challenger and Camaro)... Nothing like bringing your
best stuff to a fight where the outcome is no longer in doubt... Can you
say, 'A day late and a dollar short'?"

G.M.'s "best stuff" has been on top of the fight since 1953. Can you say,
"Corvette"?
