Wade,
I polished a windshield that had wiper scratches and used a kit similar
to Eastwoods.
It did a pretty good job of removing most of the very fine scratches and
really made the glass sparkle and clean.
The only problem is that where the scratches were deep it didn't really
remove them as much as make them less visible at a glance. At the
deepest locations, under direct light, a slight waviness could be
detected.
All in all it was fine for a driver, but probably not good enough for a
show car.

I want to see if anyone has had experience using the Eastwood kits for
polishing out scratches in glass. I have some LM tinted side glass with
scratches I want to remove. I see Eastwood has two kits. One is $110
that includes a DA sander & various abrasive pads. The other kit is $35
and has only a buffing wheel for an electric drill and polishing
compound. I tried a $10 kit from a FLAPS with several impregnated foam
pads but it was not adequate for the job.
