So, back in the day, most tires had a white poly layer under the sidewalls
even if they didn't expose it. People that wanted WIDE whitewalls shaved
the thin black layer off to expose the white. Is this still possible, or
has the white layer gone away? I haven't seen a tire shaver advertised in a
long time.
