John, since your car was built in Willow Run, there should be a single
letter on the far right of the tag at the top (same line as the 01D). That's
the code you need to understand part of what is given at the link above.

The 01D is probably week 4 of January.
740 is the interior color? Of paint or Vinyl?
A-A is exterior black.
2M is powerglide.
What are the other numbers and letters?
Would be nice to have this info but I really need to know the inerior door
paint code for certainty.
