19VAC30-70-30. Inspector requirements.

A. The inspection of motor vehicles required by these rules and 
regulations shall be made only by those individuals who are certified 
and licensed as inspectors by the Department of State Police.

B. All certified inspectors shall:

1. Be at least 18 years of age; and

2. Have a minimum of one year's practical experience as an automotive 
mechanic, or have satisfactorily completed a training program in the 
field of automotive mechanics approved by the Superintendent of State 
Police.
