Also stir in a lot of alcohol, peer pressure, and arm waving plus the cars 
tend to be over-restored. Condition that would last for less than a day if 
actually driven. These are not cars, they are trophies and what is shown on 
TV is culled from those. It does bring out (at least temporarily) some very 
low production cars. The interesting thing to me at least is that often 
they are rare because they were not popular when new.


I also suspect that the last thing they want there is a real expert. 
Just  judging from what I have seen, many of the cars have been improved in 
some way that was not original. Guess no one really cares.
