i made a pattern of the adapter at the cowl and the top shroud and cut
plates to cover them. one of my rampys came with a factory gas heater so i made
patterns of the covers for the 2 side outlets from that , but ended up
putting quart paint can lids in the holes using silicone rubber to hold them in.
so far they are all holding up after many years of service. make sure you
paint them inside and out , or they will rust quickly.
also , i like the way smitty put it on the corvair ownership. either you
love them (warm fuzzy feeling , no matter what happens) or...
plus what is in front of your club? welcome? or ....(stolen from an
older issue of a model airplane magazine, i think)
happy new year to all
regards, tim colson
