<VV> LM Door weatherstrip caulk/sealer

On LM doors, there is some type of black caulk/sealer that is at the top of
the weatherstrip at the front edge of the door.  Does anyone know what I can
replace it with.  I dug mine out before painting and need to fill the gaps.
I have tried the black butyl windshiled tape and that seems to never lose
it's stickiness.  I am looking for something factory looking.
