Probably because most manufacturers do not want to buy DuPont brand 
Teflon, but rather use the generic name PTFE. So any pipe dope with PTFE 
is similar to PST. There is a large array of sealants with PTFE at 
plumbing supply housess or big box stores. Real Tuff comes to mind. See:

Of couse there is Megalock with Kevlar if you want more DuPont in your life!
