On Sunday I managed to find some time to install the rear brake shoes,
new springs and rear e-brake cables on the rampside that has been in
group red for some time. Once I get the front shoes on then it will be
time to bleed the system (all new components that hold fluid). Since I
do not feel like squeezing a vacuum pump, I will be rigging up an old
electric fuel pump to pull the fluid to the wheels (just knew there was
a use for an electric fuel pump on a vair!).
In order to get this thing out of group red I will have to wait for
spring or for the heater parts to come in. I have the heat box out
right now and have cut all those spot welds, that is a job, in order to
replace the flapper door gaskets (using EPDM gasket sheet).
Now for the Corvair sighting, last night while watching TV I saw a white
Corvair being played with by small children. The show was "If Walls
Could Talk", the episode included a house that was a Victorian Hospital
in California.
