I take my lead from the aviation community and use
NuShine II graduated polishes from
www.nuvitechemical.com
I can get an incredible result with hand finishing
trim  parts. I use F7 or G6 for rough cut on dull part
then finish with A or S. C is good one step for parts
that have a little shine to start. I have no
connection with Nuvite, I just use their products. Gene
